Before leaving Rwanda for a summer break, Gavin had been asked by the Conseil Protestant du Rwanda (CPR) to co-ordinate its finance function.

The pain started on Friday evening. A broken tooth seems to be the cause but Bronwen definitely has a problem. Not much sleep was had on Friday night although the paracetamol helped.

Monday afternoon saw the CPR bus headed westwards into the setting sun for a two-day get together with the church leaders and donor organisations.

3am in the morning is becoming a regular wake-up time. The other night it was thunderous drops of rain on our metal roof that interrupted our sleep.

Tamara, one of the teachers at the school in Kinamba is walking with a limp and a badly bruised hip this week. At the week-end she took a trip to Gitarama, roughly 50km from Kigali.

There she was, on the back of a motorbike, skirt around her knees, her life in her hands and hair blowing everywhere as she bounced along the dirt track.

Yesterday, Mama Sandy spent the day at SU headquarters in Kigali. She arrived at 9.30 am and left almost twelve hours later.

We were all suited and booted this morning for a trip to the bank.

Friday 24th September was Founders Day at Meg Foundation School at Kanamba. It usually coincides with Meg's birthday but she was waiting for a friend to arrive from UK.

To anyone waiting for the latest instalment on the dentist story here it is. Today I went for the final treatment on my tooth.
