Life at our youth project is starting to gather pace. We are in the first few weeks of the long Christmas break and Bronwen has taken the opportunity to start up a children’s Bible class for the local youngsters.
The sessions are called the INN Club (Imana Ni Nziza – God is good) and will include games, activities and Bible stories.
Balloons always go down well and when juice and a biscuit are thrown in success is assured. Yesterday there was a class of 38 children from around seven years and upwards. They did their colouring-in and listened to Bible stories from Bronwen and Anestina who will also be running English classes for children.
This club is the first of a series of activities we plan to run in order to provide a centre for local youngsters. While many come from stable homes and are well fed, there are others who are not as fortunate. Our aim is to identify these children as the project develops and provide basic sustenance for them.
