A busy schedule
It is only three months since we were last here in Kigali and the place is starting to feel like a second home. The evening air as we leave the plane is a pleasant twenty degrees.
2019
School fees - a day at the banks
It is Friday and a new school year starts on Monday. Like many in Rwanda we are spending the day paying school fees at the last minute.
Another delivery of baby clothes
Once again the ladies of Loanhead have been knitting away to produce dozens of sets of baby clothes for Rwanda.
The education payback
In the west it is generally assumed that a child will start school at age five or thereabouts and continue until at least sixteen.
The Rutonde Cooperative
Today we took a bone-jarring bus ride to Rutonde along the Nyaburongo river which flows towards Kigali from the Virunga mountains in the north west of Rwanda.

The Edinburgh Marathon Festival
Besides a castle, an extinct volcano and more bars per head of population than any city in the world, Edinburgh is famous for its festivals. The international arts festival during the summer is the big one and we are not long past the science festival spanning the Easter holidays.
A new porridge project at Rugende
Inkurunziza Rugende is a small church some 5 kilometres outside of Kigali on the road east. Inkurunziza translates as 'Good News'. The church is run by the enthusiastic and energetic Paster Josue. For a number of months now we have been discussing with Josue how the church might take on a Mission Rwanda porridge project.
Of aging vehicles
If there is anything which marks the development of Kigali city it is the number of cars which increasingly clog the roads. Not so long ago, driving across the city was not difficult.
