A house for the street children

Things are getting exciting in Nyamirambo. Last week we signed a lease for a house to put the street children into. There are still some finishing touches going into the place like another toilet and some drain repairs outside but we were able to have a look around today. We collect the keys tomorrow.

The building is more than big enough for the children we have together with their house parents. It is within half an hour’s walk from the hall where the Inn Club and lunchtime porridge programme are held, which is nothing in Rwanda. Just across the road is a flat area for football and there are local shops nearby.

Just like most of Kigali, the house is on a hill and the panorama of the city below is spectacular.
