This is the time of year when we face the chaos of kitting our group of Nyamirambo children out to go back to school at the start of a new year. The process is not as chaotic as in previous years.
Yesterday was always going to be chaotic, energy-sapping and fractious. This was the annual jamboree known as getting the Nyamirambo children back to school.
It is Saturday and we have been invited to the home of Marie Therese and Jean Pierre Millindi.
The search has started. We have four boys who have finished primary education and are now looking for a secondary school to go to.
Some time back we started what was called our Nyamirambo Street Children project. Over time this has evolved into the Nyamirambo Children's project.
Nyamirambo is known as one of the poorer areas of Kigali and where Mission Rwanda first started work. The main street is a bustling thoroughfare of clothes shops and beauty parlours.
It was good to catch up with old friends at Meg Foundation School last week and meet the four classes of nursery children.
