More fish and chip jumpers
Each time we travel to Rwanda we take a flight case of knitted baby clothes from the ladies of Loanhead Parish. This time, the cargo was increased by a shipment from Widdecombe in Devon. Thank you all!
Our usual routine is to either leave the clothes for collection by Embrace Rwanda or to take them over to their office in Kigali. This time, Hilary and Pastor Francis of Embrace came to collect, and also take us for a day's tour around some of their projects.
Runda Parish to the east of Kigali is one place where the clothes are distributed. There, Embrace Rwanda run a healthy women's project where the women can find support, join a cooperative and which keeps hens. We were privileged to be able to hand out the baby clothes which we had brought.
The request we have received is for more jumpers, but bigger sizes and also for hats and scarves for the women. So, ladies of Loanhead and Widdecombe, keep knitting please.
