The nations throughout Africa are still seeing Covid-19 cases in their populations and Rwanda is no exception. Although there has been some relief since the Spring of this year the virus has continued to spread and in July another three-week lockdown was announced. Businesses and transport were all closed in Kigali in an effort to reduce the spread.

Having been closed for most of 2020, our Day Care project at Rugende has opened as it has been able, giving mothers of young children the chance to find what work they can. Schools are starting to open up again for our older children.

Travel restrictions during the pandemic mean that it continues to be impractical for us to visit Rwanda. Although fortunately, oOur project leaders have been able to keep us up to date with events.
